Embracing Clarity: The Wisdom of Letting Go

The classroom was filled with students, both boys and girls, engrossed in lively chatter. No one paid attention to the sound of footsteps approaching. Suddenly, the principal entered the room, silencing everyone.

"Let me introduce you to our college's visiting professor, Professor Ansari. He is a renowned scholar and author of several books. He will share insights on leading a successful life,"

 the principal announced.

As Professor Ansari began his session, he lifted a glass containing some water. He raised it high for all to see. He asked, "Can anyone guess the weight of this glass?"

"Fifty grams," "One hundred grams," "One hundred twenty-five grams," various students responded.

"I cannot tell you the exact weight," Professor Ansari said, "until I put it down. But let me ask you this: What will happen if I hold this glass like this for a few minutes?"

"Nothing," the students replied.

"Alright, now tell me, what will happen if I keep holding this glass like this for an hour?" Professor Ansari asked.

"Your arm will start to ache," one student said.

"Your muscles may cramp," another added, and laughter filled the room.

"Very good," Professor Ansari chuckled. "Now, what if I were to hold this glass like this throughout the day?"

"Your arm could become numb," one student suggested.

"Your shoulder might stiffen," another chimed in, while some students burst into laughter.

"The point is," Professor Ansari continued, "our life's challenges are much like this glass. If we dwell on them briefly, they seem manageable. If we carry them for an extended period, they can become burdensome, causing pain and discomfort."

"By overthinking our problems, we make them heavier than they need to be," he emphasized. "It's crucial to release them from our minds at the end of each day. This way, you wake up fresh and equipped to handle any issues or challenges that come your way with renewed energy and a clear mind."

So, remember, just like this glass, don't carry unnecessary thoughts about problems. Put them down and start each day with a clear mind, ready to tackle whatever comes your way.
